Social Responsibility Initiatives

The purpose of art is to uphold humanity. Swaarup Chatterjjee through his art is actively associated with the following social organizations to support their individual causes:

Swarga Foundation

Swaarup Chatterjjee has been a contributing photographer in Swarga’s I’m Special Calendar initiatives during 2017 and 2018 initiated for the purpose of raising funds for patients suffering from neurological ailments.

About Swarga foundation

The foundation’s mission is to improve the lives of individuals with Multiple Sclerosis and other neuro-muscular disorders by increasing awareness among the general public and thereby transforming the general attitude in society towards differently-abled individuals. This transformation will increase empathy and improve access to opportunities that are currently inaccessible due to lack of infrastructure and misinterpretations of disabilities among the general public.

Multiple Sclerosis Society of India (MSSI)

Swaarup Chatterjjee has been also been a contributing photographer in the Annual TGIS Photography Exhibition, Bangalore, India organized for the purpose of raising funds for organizations like MSSI since 2015.

About TGIS

TGIS is broader community movement and probably one of the very few such organisations in the country with more than 1,000 active member photographers ranging from professionals to photo enthusiasts who come together every year for the purpose of contributing for a larger cause towards the community in the form of an annual photography exhibition in Bangalore to raise funds from the sale of photograph prints with the sole objective to contribute to the needy.

About MSSI

The Multiple Sclerosis Society of India (MSSI) is a registered voluntary, non-profit organization established in 1985. It works for the welfare of people affected by Multiple Sclerosis and are affiliated to MSIF UK (Multiple Sclerosis International Federation).
